NEW DVD - The Art of Boxing
The new DVD includes many explanations and drills such as
the Central Unified Weight Theory mentioned in my book, "Undefeatable." While shooting this DVD
we did our best to include the best of the best in Internal and External Martial Arts. The
Taiji, push hands, calisthenics, & Qigong make up the first section of the DVD as we quickly
move into the combative art side of things. The run time for the Internal Martial arts lovers is
about 40 min. in the first section of the DVD and includes drills & explanations to assist
practitioners in advanced "rooting techniques." The rooting ability in Internal Martial Arts can
give an immediate edge to any wrestler, jujitsu player, judo practitioner, or inside
fighter.
The combat arts & street fighting section covers some
methods popularly used and exposes their downside. Techniques from Taiji, Bagua & Xingyi are
also included in this section, although the main focus shifts into: boxing methods, self
defense, jujitsu, and breaking out of arm and neck locks (chin na). Striking, Kicking, Blocking,
and street fighting strategy are carefully implemented & explained. Techniques from Jail
House Rock, Stato (African Boxing), Gongfu, Striking Pressure points, and Boxing cadence is
explored in full detail. The run time on this section is about 71 min.
The DVD is now available at lulu.com. We appreciate your
support, as proceeds from this film will go into future projects that will take funding for
travels to NY, and Wudang, China.
Thanks Again!

CHAPTER ONE - PERPETUAL
MOTION
On the way back to The Monkey Sanctuary,
Wang told me not to get too caught up in the mumbo jumbo Qigong. I asked him what he was talking about and he
said that only hard work and practice could accommodate high level skill. He said that the foreigners were
always looking for secret techniques and meditations. The Chinese played into this big time, since it was an
easy set up for making lots of sideways cash. One old monk showed up one day around a bunch of tourists and
claimed to be 100, when he was actually about 60. After performing a fluid 8 Palms Bagua Set, he proceeded to
sit on a rock and light up a cigarette. The foreigners were stunned by this and asked him how he was able to
smoke and maintain such great health. He told them of a secret Qigong technique that could protect the organs
from damage. A few hundred dollars later he was twirling his hands and arms around in mind boggling
positions—promising them that this was indeed the technique that produced such rare results. I guess it could be
hard to separate the Quacks and Quasi’ s from the legitimate; but where does one draw the line between reality and
fantasy?

Sifu Ariel Beti
I arrived in
Tunis, Tunisia on the 26 th of May. After
juggling around in hotels for a few weeks, I finally settled down in a studio flat here in the
heart of Tunis City. I was fortunate enough to meet a very composed and talented Martial Arts
teacher named Ariel
Beti, originally from Cameron. His resume is long and explicit
to say the least. We met up in front of a popular community center in Menzah Six, and walked to a
nearby park to exchange Martial Arts knowledge and try out a few techniques. The rest is
history. Mr. Ariel
Betie teaches Chen style Tai Chi, Gongfu, and Qi-gong,
Internal Martial Arts and Aikido here in the heart of Tunisia. You can contact him at the links

EVERYONE WANTS
THE QI by William
B.
It is a common phenomenon these days for enthusiastic martial artist's to be filled with
wondrous fancies of chi flow. After reading mystical texts riddled with allusions to gravity defying Qi force, many
readers are left with the indefinite idea that they themselves would like to reach the summit of spellbinding Chi.
Having met many masters that claim such ideas are merely illusions and tricks of con men, one has to think to
themselves where do we separate fantasy from reality. The problem is that some masters, such as master John Cheng,
are not using Qi to perform supernatural feats, rather they have turned to sorcery and magic. John openly admits to
his spirit/demon channeling, and only uses Qi-gong as the unattainable facade to more unsettling underpinnings. Are
miracles possible? I am one to believe that by Gods will they are, such as feats performed at the hands of prophets
like Moses, Jesus and Muhammad (PBUT).
There is a story of an old monk who asks a man what wisdom or knowledge he has acquired in
his lifetime. The man proceeds to walk across a river to display his abilities to the old monk. The old monk pays a
few coins and crosses on a boat. When he arrives he inquires of the feat, and the man tells him that he spent his
whole life to acquire such skill. The old monk proceeds to tell him, "then you have wasted your life." Such feats
as lighting newspapers on fire, walking on water, levitation, etc. are only means by which the person becomes proud
and boastful of honing such abilities. The abilities themselves have no real usage in life since we have matches,
boats, and airplanes that supersede such feats, but are not considered as so amazing due to the lack of sensible
perception in most people's minds. Most of the times people that are involved in such practices are deep into black
magic and demon conjuring. People selling their souls for a few circus tricks is unwise and reveals people's
immaturity & short sightedness. The true practitioners of Qi-gong seek to heal, defend the weak, and seek inner
peace & harmony with God. I'm only saying all this because I have seen so many people displaying obsessive zeal
to obtain such powers. The lust for the supernatural usually leads the aspirant down crooked paths of dark
disillusioned and heinous craftsmanship.
Chi as I have come to understand it is different forms of energy naturally residing in the
human body. Thus there are different categories and sub-categories of chi, the main ones I will try to delineate
within this text. The first is the basic process of energy transfer in the cells known commonly as metabolism. This
means that the foods we eat directly effect our energy levels, as most people know. The second is what I refer to
as kinetic chi, this energy is stimulated by exercise and physical activity, and is directly related to blood flow
and temperature. The third form is channeled by oxygen or breathing. Deep regular breathing enlivens the blood and
serves as a catalyst to other chi categories. The fourth kind is what I call spirit chi or light chi. The Chinese
refer to this as Shen, or Spirit. This one in my opinion is connected to the heart and mind. To increase this flow
of energy one must live a righteous life in accordance with Gods jurisprudence. By praying and staying in communion
with our creator we increase this "source energy" or light chi.
I have heard many people say that by retaining sperm one can convert this into chi, but I
have to question this assumption. First I want to explain the logical explanation of increased "Shen Chi" during
the time a man abstains from fornication. Thus the increase is "Shen Chi" is not from sperm storage. Actually sperm
have a life span of roughly 70 days. Hormones are released by stimulated glands in the brain to tell the body to
produce more sperm. In turn you can never really "store up" sperm. They die if you don't use them after 70 days.
For this reason married men will not suffer from "chi losses" during normal conjugal relations. Endorphins and
dopamine are released during sex that are actually healthy for the human body and heart. This is a natural process
that God has created with precise and unsurpassed wisdom. People that abstain from sex and take on the monastic
life will suffer from mental illnesses and obsessive thinking patterns. This has actually been studied and proven
scientifically. Thus the old myth that abstaining from sex will turn you into a lightening rod of chi is merely
mythological. Gaining optimum chi flow has to do with balancing your life to work on the four main chi factors as
stated above. To your health!
